ExpressArt® FFPE Clear RNAready Kit
Isolate high quality RNA from FFPE samples
Formalin-fixation of tissues results in severe RNA fragmentation, and RNA–RNA, RNA-DNA and RNA– protein cross-linking, that impairs RNA solubilization and template activity in reverse transcription and subsequent downstream assays.
ExpressArt® FFPE RNAready isolation and mRNA amplification technology allows researchers to isolate higher quality and quantities of RNA from samples previously unsuitable for gene expression analysis. The FFPE RNAready Kit provides special lysis and incubation conditions for optimal RNA recovery and improved template activity.
Features
- Consistently provides high quality FFPE RNA
- Process up to five sections (10 to 20 µm thick), or up to 30 mg of core samples, per reaction
- Typical yields of ~ 2 µg RNA per slide (10 µm thick, ~ 1 cm2 tissue area)
- Produces RNA suitable for qRT-PCR, mRNA amplification and microarray analyses
Benefits
- No paraffin removal step
- Optimized for isolation of total RNA from archival, formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues producing ready-to-use RNA (no RNA precipitation required)
- No overnight lysis step - deparaffinize in the morning and perform qRT-PCR in the afternoon
