Overview

MagSi-STA are magnetic silica particles with high quality streptavidin covalently attached to the bead surface. These particles are used as a solid support phase in applications like immunoassays and for the capture or purification of biotinylated molecules. Various types are available, with different mean sizes, streptavidin coupling chemistries and binding capacities. MagSi-STA 600 have a mean size of 600 nm, and makes use of carboxylated coupling which makes this bead suitable when requiring a hydrophillic surface and a need of a spacer. The Free biotin binding capacity of this bead is between 3500 – 5000 pmol/mg.
