Given the safety measures required in handling live SARS-CoV-2, a safer alternative is recombinant lentiviruses pseudotyped with the SARS-CoV-2 Spike (S) protein. This is ideal for COVID-19 research; such as virus infectivity study, drug screening (neutralising assays) and vaccine development under less stringent biosafety conditions (BSL-2). Pseudotyped SARS-CoV-2 Lentivirus Construction

- - - - The SARS-CoV-2 pseudotyped Lentivirus' are produced by replacing the commonly used vesicular stomatitis virus G (VSV-G) envelope glycoprotein with Spike protein.
      - Pseudotyping available with wild type or mutant spike proteins from a wide range of coronavirus species.
      - Unlimited customization options including addition of reporter genes (e.g. eGFP, luciferase) for monitoring viral entry.
      - Both in vitro and in vivo grade scales available.
