Technical and Marketing Services Representatives

Recent sales growth has led to a major expansion of operations in North America and significant sales growth from Europe.

Based on Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, the company is seeking to recruit more Customer Service and Marketing Services staff. These are broad roles supporting various functions within a small but dynamic team of scientists and commercial professionals. The successful candidates will develop skills in marketing planning and sales support as well as enhancing their understanding of innovative new laboratory techniques. Candidates should be passionate about customer satisfaction and will seek innovative solutions, applying them quickly and accurately.

The post holders will be part of a team supporting, and frequently launching, products for life science research. They will be involved in the full gamut of activities of a marketing department from database management through email campaigns, SEO and exhibition organization. Production of website pages, literature and handling customer enquiries will also be a part of the role. A degree-level qualification and/or laboratory experience would be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customer, technical and sales support.
• Project planning and co-ordination
• Implementing marketing activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate the implementation of campaigns contributing to the production of materials to support sales and marketing
• Provide in house support for external client facing issues.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Desire to work in a fast moving commercial environment.
• Good planner with excellent eye for detail and proven skills in achieving objectives.
• Experience of web technologies including HTML and CMS would be a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical and communication skills including excellent spoken and written English required.
• Second or third languages beneficial (German, French Spanish)
• Artistic bent and great organiser with photoshop etc skills

The successful candidate will receive formal training sessions, as well as informal 'on-the-job' training, covering the various programs and databases used.
