amsbio offers an access to the extensive biorepository and offers custom designed tissue services.
We supply well-defined and categorized clinical samples, including tissues, blood, serum, bone marrow, tissue microarrays, and etc. These samples are collected from a network of academic and professional clinical institutions under strict ethical standards.
Frozen Tissue Blocks and Snap-Frozen Tissue:
All fresh frozen tissue samples are collected by certified medical pathologists and are snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen within 30 minutes
of surgery excision. Standard sample weight is 0.5 - 1 gram. Frozen tissue blocks treated with OCT embedding media are also available.
FFPE / Paraffin Tissue Blocks:
Tissue is prepared by a certified medical pathologist, fixed in 10% neutral formalin for
We also offer customer tissue procurement and preparation services.
All FFPE tissue samples are collected by certified medical pathologists and are fixed in 10% neutral-buffered formalin for 16 hours maximum and embedded then in IHC-grade paraffin.
Tissue samples are fixed . Standard sample size is 1x1x0.5 cm, but can vary depending on the nature of tissue type and disease status.
Frozen Tissue Sections:
Tissues available include human adult and fetal normal tissues, human diseased and tumor tissues, as well as from mouse,
rat, and primates. The tissues are excised, immediately frozen by liquid nitrogen and then stored in -80ºC. All the tissues
are identified by a board-licensed pathologist. A single tissue section with 5-10 um thickness is mounted on a positively charged glass
slide then fixed and dehydrated with cold acetone for consistent results.
Paraffin/FFPE Tissue Sections:
Tissues are fixed in foramlin immediately post excision and embedded in IHC-grade paraffin. Standard tissue sections are 5 um in thickness and are mounted on
positively charged glass slides.
Frozen Tissue Microarray:
For rapid detection of gene and protein expression in a wide variety of human normal and tumor tissues.
Paraffin Tissue Microarray:
Wide range covering human tumor, adult normal and fetal tissues, including the FDA Standard Tissue Microarray, which meets US FDA
requirements for Immunohistochemistry and in vitro Diagnostic Devices certification - also European CE Mark. 2
Multiple Species Tissue Microarray:
Designed for testing species reactivity of antibodies (available in frozen or paraffin-embedded formats).
Tissue section matched pairs:
Primary tumor matched with adjacent normal tissue or corresponding metastatic tumor from same donor. Ideal for localization of tumor-specific genes and tumor metastatic genes.
