- Better transfer efficiency by using a voltage gradient, rather than a traditional parallel field, to achieve complete transfers of all proteins or polynucleotides in the gel without loss. High molecular weight bands get higher transfer voltage than low molecular weight bands.
- Both Gels run at the same speed and the same temperature, because they sit symmetrically in the cell.
- Inner chamber can be sealed outside the cell making it easier to see sample wells when loading under buffer and without leaking.
- Blot 9cm long gels. No need to throw part of the longer PAGEgel cassette gel away as with smaller units.
