PrimeQ KSOM Embryo Culture Medium, w/o Amino Acids and Phenol Red
KSOM has been shown to support the development of mouse preimplantation embryos in vitro. Additional studies have shown that KSOM supplemented with amino acids also increases
the rate of blastocyst stage development as compared to KSOM without amino acids (1,2,3).
|
Medium Preparation
PrimeQ KSOM is pre sterile-filtered and shipped frozen. Thaw frozen bottle of medium in a refrigerator (2oC to 8oC) overnight or slowly at room temperature.
Gently swirl thawed medium to mix and warm to 37oC prior to use. Perform all actions using aseptic culture conditions. Some cell debris may be present on thaw, but will not affect the performance of the product.
Shelf Life: 1 year at ‐20oC to ‐80oC (frozen); 2 week at 4oC (thawed)
Do not use past expiration date.
Medium used past the recommended expiration date may not perform optimally.
Note: The pH of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) only buffered formulations will rise upon exposure to air and should be adjusted as needed prior to use.
Equivalent to Millipore Cat. No. MR-021-D

PrimeQ M2 Mouse Embryo Culture Medium
M2 embryo culture medium, a modified Krebs-Ringer solution buffered with HEPES, is commonly used for
collection of embryos and when handling them outside the incubator for extended periods of time. M2 can be used with either M16 or with KSOM.

Medium Preparation
PrimeQ M2 is sterile-filtered and shipped frozen. Thaw frozen bottle of medium in a refrigerator (2oC to 8oC) overnight or slowly at room temperature. Gently swirl thawed medium to mix and warm to 37oC
prior to use. Perform all actions using aseptic culture conditions. Some cell debris may be present on thaw, but will not affect the performance of the product.
Shelf Life: 1 year at ‐20oC to ‐80oC (frozen); 2 weeks at 4oC (thawed)
Do not use past expiration date.
Medium used past the recommended expiration date may not perform optimally.

PrimeQ FHM Embryo Culture Medium
FHM embryo culture medium is modification of KSOM where bicarbonate is partially replaced with HEPES buffer. FHM is typically used as an embryo collection media for washing and handling embryos
outside the CO2 incubator.
| Medium Preparation
PrimeQ FHM medium is sterile-filtered and shipped frozen. Thaw frozen bottle of medium in a refrigerator (2oC to 8oC) overnight or slowly at room temperature. Gently swirl thawed medium to mix
and warm to 37oC prior to use. Perform all actions using aseptic culture conditions. Some cell debris may be present on thaw, but will not affect the performance of the product.

Do not use past expiration date.

PrimeQ M16 Mouse Embryo Medium
Preimplantation-stage mouse embryos have been used since the mid-1950s for a variety of biological applications (1,2). M16 embryo medium along with M2 medium is routinely used in the
collection and handling of mouse embryos during in vitro culture.
