3D cultures mimic the in vivo cell environment providing more physiologically significant information from in vitro cell culture models; however, there are several variables inherently associated with these assays that can influence the success of your 3D culture. These factors include matrix composition, cell type, cell health, cell seeding densities, and time of culture.

Isolating cells from the extracellular matrix proteins in 3D culture for biochemical analysis can be very difficult; to simplify this task, we developed the cell harvesting kit. This kit provides reagents for extracting cells and/or cell aggregates from 3D cultures for biochemical and molecular analysis, as well as reagents for the preparation of lysates for immunoblotting.
